I sort of figured that you'd need some extra help, considering you said the ppt has to be 3 minutes or less in length.
So, for a biography I would put the MAIN POINTS. Ignore all of the traveling and the school switching that more did. Ignore all but one or two of his chancellor moments, and put these things:
Paintings/visual representations of them and their work should be really easy; Thomas More could be in the background, and you should put pics of Utopia and the other book.
Why they are important just put his influence as a philosopher and what not.
Now I realize it sounds easier than it seems, but it shouldn't be THAT hard, you know? : )

- First school
- Some important things (e.g being signed into law in 1510)
- Death date
- Legacy
